Getting Started:

Before your first appointment, please complete the following 2 steps:

1) Please contact your insurance provider prior to your first session and ask the following questions:

  • Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

  • What is the client financial responsibility per therapy session?

  • Do I need a referral from my primary care physician?

  • Is precertification or preauthorization required?

Deductible: Your insurance provider will pay a percentage of the service rate AFTER your deductible is met.  Therefore, you will be responsible for 100% of the service rate (rates vary, depending on your insurance carrier) until the deductible is met.  Deductible payments are due at each session. Please be sure to ask your insurance provider what your client responsibility will be.

Copay: Your copay is a set amount of money, indicated by your provider, that is due at each appointment.  Then, insurance covers the remainder (in most cases).  If you are unsure of your copay amount, please contact your insurance provider BEFORE the first appointment.


2) Log on to the client portal (which will be provided when you call to set up your appointment) and fill out all of the requested paperwork.

Jamy accepts Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Qualchoice, and Private Pay. Private pay payments can be submitted to your insurance provider if using an out of network plan (i.e. any other plan than the ones listed). Ask Jamy about how this works.
